Design-Links 1-VR Design-Links 1-VR offers the beauty of carpet strips with an open-weave,
flexible vinyl grid-rib design. Vinyl ramps and permanently bonded carpet
strips reduce the risk of trips and falls, especially in high-traffic
pedestrian areas. The unique grid-rib design effectively traps and contains
dirt, snow, sand and rain water beneath the surface. Five-year limited

The Design-Links 1 System combines permanently-bonded carpet strips with an open-weave, vinyl grid-rib design and consists of interchangeable quads held in place by an aluminum grid and surrounded by aluminum ramps. Each system is custom-engineered to accommodate doors, corners and odd-shaped nooks. Design-Links 1 traps dirt, snow, sand and rain water beneath the surface and is ideal for entryways where a more upscale appearance is desired without sacrificing effectiveness. Especially suitable for use in institutional and retail applications with heavy-duty pedestrian and cart traffic. Design-Links 1 can be surface-mounted or recessed into the floor. The system is approximately .5" high and is surrounded by anodized aluminum ramps (where surface mounted) and dividers. For recessed applications, well should be .5" deep. In all cases, the mounting surface should be a hard, smooth surface. The Design-Links 1 System consists of flexible, injection-molded, 100% virgin PVC quads surrounded by .75" x .5" anodized aluminum frames and 2" x .5" anodized aluminum ramps. The surface of the system features removable carpet strips, placed every 2", and held in place with hook and loop fasteners. Each system is custom-engineered to fit the application. Standard colors for vinyl include Hunter Green, Chocolate Brown and Black. Standard colors for carpet are Charcoal, Forest Green and Walnut. Custom colors are available. We can also bend frames and ramps to a specified radius.

The Design-Links 1 SE flooring combines glued-in-place carpet strips with Space-Links' signature open-weave, vinyl grid-rib design. The Design-Links 1 SE scrapes, traps and contains dirt, snow and rainwater beneath the surface, and is constructed in interchangeable quads. The quads are held in place by patented hidden clips, designed to lock the flooring in place and allow for easy removal. Each entryway is custom-engineered to accommodate doors, corners and odd-shaped nooks.

Design-Links 2 features carpet strips that are secured to the vinyl quad via hook and loop fasteners. The carpet strips are easily replaced when worn, or to accommodate changes in decor. The system consists of standard-sized quads contained within anodized aluminum frames. Each system is custom-engineered to accommodate doors, corners and odd-shaped nooks. Design-Links 2 is ideal for inside entryways where a more upscale appearance is desired without sacrificing effectiveness. Design-Links 2 SE features 1-3/16" wide carpet strips that are secured to the vinyl via hook and loop fasteners. The carpet strips are easily replaced when worn, or to accommodate changes in decor. Both the vinyl and the carpet are available in an array of colors that can be used in any combination. Design-Links 2 SE gives the illusion of a seamless floor, with the versatility and the ease of maintenance of modular flooring. The flooring consists of standard sized quads that are held in place from underneath with snap-fit, mat retainers. Each entryway flooring is custom-engineered to accommodate doors, corners and odd-shaped nooks.
